Playgroup

Children start to explore the world around them as soon as they are born. At DEPS, the play group curriculum enables children to continue their exploration.
The objective of the program is to train parents to help them foster their child’s development by learning and practising child development through a scientific approach. This program will foster social, aesthetic and motor skills in young children. This program helps infants and toddlers develop their latent language and maths skills through the Glenn Doman method.

Nursery

In Nursery, children are engaged in school readiness activities such as reading, writing, counting, number recognition and problem solving in a fun filled but purposeful manner. Children are encouraged to corroborate their learning through collaborative activities in the areas of dramatics, science and arts.
Quality education in the early years of preschool sets a firm foundation in the overall development of a child. The nursery curriculum provides a right array of activities to help children move towards achieving their early learning goals.

NURSERY KG (03 – 04 YEARS)

WHAT WILL YOUR CHILD LEARN?

Sensory & Perceptual Development

  • Is able to build a tower with 4-8 blocks.
  • Is able to distinguish the genders.
  • Is able to string the beads into the string.
  • Understands heavy/soft and makes appropriate facial expressions.
  • Stacks blocks, group items by category, or size and places objects in the proper place
  • Holds the scissors properly and can exert the right pressure.
  • Understands the concepts of heavy/light; smells; hard and soft; in and out; basic shapes; family.

Cognitive Development

  • Is able to imitate familiar or recent experiences in play (e.g. teddy goes to the doctor) with the actions being repetitive.
  • Is able to understand the purpose of numbers for counting objects, correct sequence of an activity, and concept of counting.
  • Tries to remember parts of a story; familiar colours; identifies the missing numbers; points out above/below; loud/soft.
  • Correctly identifies the letters for example-J,O,Q,U even if written in a random manner.
  • Is able to recite the rhymes with actions.

Physical & Motor Development

  • Is able to move the hand and , body, and legs in co-ordination
    Is able to hold the pencil and exert the correct pressure to write.

Junior KG

The transition from preschool to primary school is a crucial time of change for both children as well as their parents. At deps, the Kindergarten (K.G.) curriculum ensures smooth transition to formal schooling with meaningful and progressive learning experiences.
Through many activities, children learn the alphabet and letter sounds, numbers and simple math and master early writing skills. Furthermore, each child’s development is measured thrice in a year through well designed assessment as part of unique pedagogy .

Senior KG

If your child is 5 years old, they are eligible for the Senior KG programme. No matter where you enrol your child, our curriculum has been designed to enable a smooth transition to class 1 . We have a fun and interactive world of four letter words, short sentences, cursive writing and social skills waiting to be explored. This is the age of large numbers, simple addition, subtraction and multiplication.

SENIOR KG (05 - 06 YEARS)
